Plot[]

The guys arrives at a local bank, only to find that someone (Michael Jordan) has left their bank card in the ATM. Surprisingly, Beavis figures out the card's pin code Balls, and the duo pocket thousands of dollars from the man's account. Back at home Beavis and Butt-head have the stolen money all over their house but do not spend any, but then they see the incident on TV, and it ends up being shown on America's Most Hated (spoof of America's Most Wanted). The police are unsuccessful and draft in the Coppers (spoof of "Cops") to track down the duo and reclaim the money. They break in the duo's home, pin them to the ground and cuff them. [We open to see Beavis and Butt-Head walking up to the local bank.]

Butt-Head: Banks are cool.

Beavis: Yeah. That's where they keep all the money.

Butt-Head: "Substantial penalty for early withdrawal!"

[Suddenly, they see a nearby ATM machine has been left unattended and it's alarm is going off. An automated voice repeats "Please remove card".]

Butt-Head: Cool! It's one of those money machines.

Beavis: Hey! Somebody left a card! Shove it in, Butt-Head!

Butt-Head: [He laughs.] No way! You shove it in! [Beavis pushes the card into the machine.]

ATM Computer: Thank you. Please enter password.

Butt-Head: Hey, Beavis. How do you spell "chode"?

Beavis: Check this out. [He punches in random letters and numbers, which coincidentally work, and the machine starts spewing money everywhere.]

Butt-Head: Whoa!! [They start grabbing as much money as they can, unaware that a nearby security camera is recording their every move, even when they run away with the money.]

[Later on, Beavis and Butt-Head are back at their house with piles of cash everywhere.]

Butt-Head: Maybe we should go buy something.

Beavis: Yeah, yeah! Like what?

[Suddenly, dramatic music begins to play on the TV.]

TV Host: Good evening, and welcome to America's Most Hated. What you are about to see is a crime so heinous-

Butt-Head: "Anus"? [He starts laughing.]

TV Host: -so repulsive, so actual, it may shake your very faith in human nature! What we are about to show you is actual videotape of the actual crime baffling-

""Butt-Head (talking over the host): ""This sucks! ""Beavis: ""Yeah! I wanna see some domestic disputes!" ""TV Host: ""This videotape shows these criminals actually robbing one of the ready-tellers. [Beavis and Butt-Head watch the footage being shown of them taking the money, and they look rather surprised to see this on TV.]

TV Host: A victimless crime? No way!

[The screen changes to Michael Jordan being interviewed.]

Michael Jordan: I stepped away from the Keno table, Bob, then those creeps attacked me. Took my bank card right out of my wallet!

Butt-Head: Bust 'em!

Beavis: Yeah! Give those guys the chair! The chair!! The chair!! The chair!!

Michael Jordan: What I don't get is how they figured out my password: "Balls". How did they know I was a pro?

TV Host: One frightened eyewitness, a cleaning lady who concealed herself behind a trash bin, was willing to tell us what she saw.

Witness: One of them was a real ugly fella, Bob. He kept scratching his butt! [We then see Butt-Head actually scratching butt as she said this on TV.]

TV Host: This telltale gesture may eventually lead police to the robbers' lair.

Witness: [She pretends to cry.] They should pay for their crimes!

TV Host: Our America's Most Hated crime artists have created sketches of what what we believe these two look like. If you have any information about these career criminals, please dial our information hotline.

Beavis: Hey, Butt-Head! Let's call and say we know those guys!

Butt-Head: Yeah! Maybe there's a reward![Little do they know that the sketches on screen look exactly like them.]

[Later on, they are watching another news show, An Undercurrent Affair.]

TV Host: Authorities remained baffled in their search for two mysterious robbers who seem to have dropped completely out of sight.

TV Host #2: Tonight, we recreate exactly what might have occurred that terrible night. [the camera view changes to the front of a bank]

TV Host: What you are about to see is a dramatization by professional thespians.

Butt-Head: "Professional lesbians"? [He starts laughing.]

[On the TV, two actors portraying Beavis and Butt-Head are seen in a car.]

Actor #1: Travis, check it out! Another cash machine ripe for the picking! Huh huh huh! Huh huh! These cash machines are the best thing that ever happened to criminals like us! Huh huh huh! Huh huh!

Actor #2: Ha ha ha! Ha ha! I can practically smell the cash! Ha ha ha! [All the while, Beavis and Butt-Head are laughing almost exactly the same time the actors do, remaining oblivious that they're being seen on TV.]

""Butt-Head: ""They should arrest those lesbians.

Beavis: Yeah! Use the taser! The taser!! Zap him! Zap him in the butt!

TV Host #2: Who are these monsters?

[On the TV, the thespians start breaking into the ATM Machine with tools.]

TV Host: While it is not clear that these thieves work on a national or international scope, it is known that they are wily and they are dangerous.

[The actors open a panel, remove stacks of cash from the machine, and drive away as the bank's alarm goes off.]

""Butt-Head: ""Cool! [He and Beavis laugh.]

[Later on, Beavis and Butt-Head are watching yet another show, this time, Coppers.]

SWAT Team Leader: [As he's suiting up, he narrates over the theme song.] Sometimes, I don't know if I'm coming back. ["Bad Boys" begins to play as they leave the police station.]

Announcer: Coppers is filmed on location with the men and women of law enforcement. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

"Butt-Head: "Whoa. Check out that neighborhood. I've been there."

"Beavis: "Yeah.

[Beavis and Butt-Head pay no minds to what is about to happen and continues to watch TV.]

SWAT Team Leader: Ok, now remember to take out the big guy first. He's armed and completely irrational. [Their van comes to a stop] OK, MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!!! [All the members of the SWAT Team rush towards a house, yelling.]

[Suddenly, the sound of a battering ram hitting the house door is heard.]

Butt-Head: Hey, Beavis. Did you hear something?

Beavis: Uhh, yeah. I thought it was you.

[Seconds later, the SWAT Team breaks in and tackles Beavis and Butt-Head to the ground.]

Butt-Head: Hey! Those two guys don't look anything like those lesbians they were after.

Beavis: Shut up, Butt-Head! They're going to use the taser! The taser!! [The SWAT Team begins to arrest Beavis and Butt-Head, both on TV and in their home.]

Goofs[]

  • During the arrest scene, the kicking down of the door is filmed from inside the house, even though the camera crew should be outside with the police.
  • When the boys are handcuffed, they're seen on the living room floor and live on TV at the same time. But the camera crew and equipment, which should be right behind them, are absent from the TV picture.

Trivia[]

  • It's odd how America's Most Hated has surveillance footage of the boys taking the money. But on An Undercurrent Affair when they recreated the crime, the actors were buff, older, taller, wearing longer pants and used tools to open the ATM and the Butt-Head actor is driving a car.
  • This episode has never been released to home video.
  • This is one of the few episodes after Season 2 to use digital ink and paint.
  • America's Most Hated and Coppers are parodies of the long running shows Cops and America's Most Wanted.
    • Both shows aired on FOX, which also aired King of the Hill.
  • An Undercurrent Affair is a parody of the syndicated television newsmagazine program, A Current Affair that ran from July 28, 1986 to August 30, 1996 and made a very short-lived revival in 2005 that lasts only for seven months.
    • Like Cops and America's Most Wanted, A Current Affair was also produced by 20th Century Fox Television.
  • During the video segments, piles of money can be seen on the couch. This is one of the few episodes where an element from the main story-line is tied into the video segments.
  • The police sketch of Beavis and Butt-Head on America's Most Hated is the same one reused from an earlier episode, Heroes.

Production Music[]

  • Action News (b) - Dick Walter (America's Most Hated)
  • Lunar Arctic - Dick Walter (Depiction of robbery)
  • Inner Circle - Bad Boys (Coppers)
